Extra Credit

1. The man was pushed onto the railroad tracks and wasn't able to escape on time and was crushed by the train and was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital. The photographer was able to take the picture by getting out his camera super fast and taking a picture of him in seconds.
2. He took the picture to catch the drivers attention with the flash so he could notice something was wrong. But he wasn't able to catch the train's driver and he couldn't stop in time.
3. No he should of at least made an attempt of saving him instead of taking pictures of him about to get crushed. Since he had time to take pictures of him he would of probably had time to save his life.
4. No he didn't make the right decision because there were other ways he could have gotten the drivers attention. There was also other ways he could have helped the man and could still be living if he would have tired to help him.
5. I disagree with posting the picture on the newspaper because it lets the family see there loved one before something tragic was about to happen to him. The family might also see this as disrespecting a person who is now dead and showing them on the front page of the news paper before getting crushed by a train.
6. Whats more important to a photojournalist is capturing a picture because they would be known for that image which will open new opportunities for them later on in the future. But if they save a life they will be a hero for maybe a week then everybody will forget about him.
7. I think it is ethically for photographers to put themselves in the situation their pictures are taken because maybe they can get a better future or a better understanding of how to handle the situation the person is going through in the photograph.
8. Yes they should because they might make the event bigger and cause more trouble and make change what really happened in the event.
9. What stands out is how they have to think of everything of what they can do to help a person out and try to decide what the best choice is for their safety and the persons safety. To try to avoid more people of getting involved and making the problem bigger.

Self Portrait and Portrait Part 2

Tips
1. If you can, hook up your camera directly to your computer (or, for extra-fancy bonus points, your TV) so you can see your pictures come up as you take ‘em. It’s a lot easier to iterate and to make gradual improvements to your photos that way.
2.The most common mistake made by photographers is that they are not physically close enough to their subjects. In some cases this means that the center of interest—the subject—is just a speck, too small to have any impact. Even when it is big enough to be decipherable, it usually carries little meaning. Viewers can sense when a subject is small because it was supposed to be and when it's small because the photographer was too shy to get close.

Environmental Portrait
I like this picture because you can see whats around the person and all the details. It makes it seem like your in the same place as the person.
I like this picture because i love how you can see everything surrounding him. He's also interacting with the wild which makes it an even interesting picture.

Photography Self Portrait
I like this picture because i like how it focuses on her eyes by covering her face with her hair. I picked this picture because its unique and something different when you think of a self portrait.
I like this picture because she represent her face with a photograph making it seem like its her face and not a photograph. I picked this picture because its one of my favorite ones because i have never seen a picture like this before its a really cool self portrait.
Casual Portrait

I like this picture because i like how happy the kid looks when he's going to eat cake. I picked this picture because i like how its just focussed on the kid and how he reacts.

I like this picture because its simple and didn't need to be all pretty and fancy to look good even if its from the side of the face and not the whole face. I picked this picture because you can see all the details on the girls  face even if its the side of the face.

My Plan
My plan is to take a picture of my best friend Hodalis outside around or surrounded by natures such as trees or flowers. I will take pictures of her involving an interaction with the flowers and another one of her just standing next to the flowers to see which one looks the best. I will make this happen by being at school everyday and getting my work done so i can take pictures of her when i have time.
