American Soldier Slide Show and Captions
A.) The most powerful image in the slideshow is image number 17 because it shows how disciplined you have to be in the army. It shows there facial expression and the picture is just focused on them and makes this picture powerful to see how serious you have to be in the army.
B.)At home in Denver: 1- 7
    At Basic Training: 16-28
    In Iraq: 50-70
    Back in Denver: 76-83
The set of images that were the most powerful were when he was in basic training because it made him realize how hard the training is and how he has to be disciplined in order to be able to stay in the army and stay in shape. It really made you realize how it was really going to be for now on if he wanted to stay in the army for the remaining of the time he was going to serve.
C.) These images work to tell a story by showing what the whole process is to go into the army and what Ian would while he was in the army and when he came back home. It helps you see everything that happened in order with just pictures and makes a pretty interesting store out of just pictures.
3.   A.)They were usually written in the present tense because the action was happening in the present not the future.
B.) It helps describe what is going on in the picture to help you understand what is going on in the picture. Instead of you predicting whats going on they put captions to help you understand the picture better.
4.
Ian is sitting down thinking about how his new life is going to be since he's in the army now.

Ian fell asleep leaning on his bed and since he's asleep his friend from the army decides to do a joke on him and puts shaving cream on his head for sleeping.

Ian is on his bed at home saying good bye to his good friends telling them he's going to miss him since he's going to the army for a while and before leaving he's giving them a tight good bye hug.

5.  A.) It makes you actually understand what happened before or after the pictures was taken and helps you understand what was really going on during this picture.
B.) The videos are better then photographs because it actually informs you what was going on in their brain while they were going through that situation.
C.) Photos are better then videos because it helps capture and freeze that moment forever. You can see every detail on their face and around them and what their reaction was while they were going through that situation.
